There was no wedding party. There was no cake to cut. There was only love. And mountains of it at that.
It was hands down the absolute best way we could have possibly kicked off our 2014 wedding season.
It's not a secret that Daniel and I hate that silly traditions often get in the way of what really matters on a wedding day. What should be a day of celebrating love and a new life together can be restrained and dulled by posed pictures and relentless traditions. Zachary and Jelitsa didn't want to focus on any of those things — just each other. And they totally did.
It makes sense. Their love, I mean. Jelitsa boasted of Zach's charming personality and intelligence that matched all morning. And he certainly lived up to it. It was easy to see why Zachary chose Jelitsa, too. She's not only one of the most beautiful girls on the planet, she's also brimming with life and love and the most contagious laughs. And I really mean gut laughs. I was in stitches all morning. Though we'd only met the pair once before their wedding day, we immediately were sucked into their warmth, graciousness, and relentless humor upon arrival. It was simple. It was lovely. It was perfect.
I'm so glad that the two of you found us. I'm so glad that the two of you found each other. I'm so glad that you spent the $34.99 on match.com to do it. I'm so glad that it was the best $34.99 that you'd ever spent.
