Hands down. The best NYE party we ever could've attended was the one that Mike + Andrea put on at The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Partly, this had to do with the fact that Andrea is a masterful party planner with an eye for aesthetically pleasing color palettes and super tight venues. Maybe mostly, it had to do with the fact that their love and energy were bursting through the seams of every room they entered. Either way, we were so honored to help them capture this time in their lives.
Their morning started at the DTLA Ace Hotel, which we officially totally recommend always doing. The moody light, textured concrete walls and floors, and eclectic details provided one of the best getting ready backdrops we've seen to date. After they first-looked and danced on top of Los Angeles, the party started at The Natural History Museum where Andrea's vision of a French flower shop meets taxidermy shop came to life. The whole thing unfolded with the biggest wedding party we've ever encountered (I'm telling you, people are just drawn to these two). The night ended with a countdown into 2017 and (of course) a late night snack of cookies and milk.
We are so stoked to share this one. We are also stoked to check out Andrea's new bakery opening in Long Beach, CA on Valentine's Day! We'll keep you posted on that, but in the meantime, let's reminisce their wedding.
