This past weekend, we kicked off our engagement season with a coupla cuties in pure Michigan. It ruled.
Aldo + Sara took us to the place where he proposed in Buchanan. In the middle of a farm set on layers of fields and forest and lakes, we walked the same winding path they walked as he nervously fidgeted and she patiently waited for him to work up the nerve. Though we'd already heard the story of how the proposal went down, it meant so much to actually see how it played out in real time and place, and I'm stoked that their pictures reflect that story. We followed our time at the farm with a quick trip to a local winery and a walk around the cutest retro downtown street.
The thing about Michigan is even when it's dead, it's pretty. The colors still meld together. The lines that nature creates are bold. It commands attention even in its simplicity.
Below are a few of my favorite moments from our session together. Stoked to share these and stoked to create more at their wedding next month!
