Jeff + Rachel >> Married

Not quite sure how or why it happened, but somehow we've lucked out in the couple's department. With each new wedding, I cherish the time we spend with clients as if their warmth, humor, and kindness are a rarity, but we somehow have managed to book remarkably wonderful people across the board. 

Jeff and Rachel are a perfect example of this. They really made our jobs easy. If you need any proof of this, you'll find nothing short of utter joy pouring out of both of them as they celebrated their new life together with a forest preserve ceremony perfectly set between two lines of towering trees and a white tent reception set in the backyard of Jeff's childhood home. It was the epitome of outdoor elegance, which is incidentally so very much them.

Andrew + Katherine >> Married

October was jam-packed with weddings and traveling and engagements and long nights of editing and I could go on. Andrew + Katherine's wedding softly approached in the midst of it all and quietly reminded us why this is all worth it. It reminded us to breathe. It reminded us to love. It reminded us to create. 

You might remember theses two from their forest-filled A Day in The Life Session. Well, they're back and boy did they ever bring the forrest. 

Their morning started in two separate hotel rooms the way most weddings do. She was was surrounded by her beaming mother and two best friends who traveled great lengths to meet her there. He was joined by his father. Love letters were quietly exchanged and read more than just once.

When all of the finishing touches were powdered and pressed and tied and straightened, they headed to a nature preserve that glowed red, orange, yellow, green, and all sorts of in between. It was so them. That's all I kept thinking. How perfect.

Their intimate ceremony started as the sun was setting. He met her midway down the aisle and walked by her side the rest of the way. There were tears and words they'd saved up for this evening. There were notes saved for the future. There was love.

The night ended in what I can only think to describe as an old mansion. So many of their friends and family stood to share the love they had for the two and wish them well. They danced the night away and that's how we left them there.
