When I say that Alex + Amanda's wedding was an absolute dream to shoot, that's not hyperbole. Not even close. Imagine a group of bright, quick-witted friends that read a lot like Beat Generation authors in an old Chicago warehouse stacked with salvaged goods and light so creamy you could just eat it. Now imagine a perfect wedding and so much love we could hardly fit through the front door.
Salvage One is a sort of playground for Daniel and me. We first heard about it from Josh + Kate, a couple we had the pleasure of shooting in The Hamptons last year. (Incidentally, they sent Alex + Amanda our way and we are so grateful!) It's three stories of weathered windows, clawfoot tubs, brass sconces, and mismatched marquee letters. It is easily our favorite Chicago venue, and we can't wait to shoot more weddings there in the future.
