You ever see both the sun and the moon in the sky at the same time and feel like you're hogging all of the light? That's how I feel about meeting Ryan + Natalie—even briefly. They are two of the most thoughtful, creative, and vibrant humans I've ever met. Now incredibly, they've combined powers in life and on the dance floor and in art and in adventure, and it gives me shivers to think about how much better we all are for that.
Their wedding took place all the way up in the rolling hills of Calabasas, CA at Upper Los Virgenes Open Space Preserve. They vowed to have the anti-succulent wedding and ditched all of the traditions that weren't for them—like walking separately down the aisle. Their reception played out around long, farm tables topped with harvest fruits and veggies and included some of the best speeches I've ever heard at a wedding (this is an open invitation for Natalie's dad to speak at my wedding). The night ended with dancing to a live band under the open sky with a thousand tiny city lights twinkling in the distance.
So good.
